Michelle completed her Master Massage Therapy training certification in Tempe, Arizona, at the Southwest Institute for Healing Arts in 2013, where she received training in both massage techniques and other holistic modalities, with a primary focus on reflexology and cranial unwinding. She also received her yoga teacher training at the Spirit of Yoga in Tempe, Arizona in 2014.
Michelle returned to Toronto and obtained her RMT in 2017. In keeping with her interest in nervous system function, fascia, and functional movement, and her commitment to ongoing training, she has received additional training in yin yoga, restorative yoga, cupping, and Graston. She also maintains a keep interest in lymphatic drainage and has completed Vodder Level I and Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage.
Over the last several years, Michelle has worked primarily in rehabilitative settings with clients with complex healthcare needs, including moderate to severe neurological impairments and complex orthopaedic injuries. She has worked with a wide array of clients, including athletes, children, and seniors.
Michelle offers massage treatments with a rehabilitative and therapeutic focus, and is committed to client education and empowerment through remedial exercise. With a wide array of skills to draw upon, Michelle is committed to supporting you achieve your wellness goals.
