Chiropractic

What controls every part of our body? If we think about it, it’s our nervous system. It starts from our brain, down to the spine and send out nerve signals to every part of our body via our spinal cord of the spine. Improper function of this delicate pathway can cause poor health or function, even in areas distance from the spine itself. Even the slightest misalignments in our body, if left uncorrected, can create long term health issues.

Chiropractic care focuses on the relationship between structures and function. When our spine and joints are in misalignment, it creates stress and reduce the body’s ability to adapt, altering our nervous system function and preventing optimal healing and recovering.

How does it work?

Chiropractic does not use drugs or surgery. Chiropractic care includes lifestyle counselling, nutrition, exercises prescription and corrective joint manipulation and adjustment to maximize healing and strength the body and correct the body.

At CBHC, we employ a wide range of chiropractic techniques and procedures to assist all type of patients from children, pregnant women, athletes and elderly.

What makes your chiropractic care at CBHC unique?

At CBHC, your chiropractic care is more than just a chiropractic adjustment.

We emphasize the importance of pre-adjustment warm up and post-adjustment care. Pre-adjustment warm ups may include using modalities(such as ultrasound or heat therapy) or exercises to warm up the soft tissues (muscles and ligaments). This prepares the joints for adjustment. Post adjustment care may include stretching, strengthening or balancing (proprioceptive) exercises. This improves the effectiveness of the adjustment.
