Stephen Peslar graduated from the Ontario Chiropody Program that was taught at the Michener Institute of Health Education, George Brown College and Toronto General Hospital in 1984. He received clinical training at Toronto General, Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital and West Park Healthcare Centre.

Since graduation, Stephen has gained extensive experience with various chiropody treatments, diabetic foot care, sports biomechanics and orthotic therapy. He participated in road races, masters swim meets and triathlons. He completed Ironman Canada in 1986, with a time of 11:59:49, and then in Hawaii, he completed the Ironman in 10:39:59 in 1988. He returned to Penticton, B.C. in 2006 and completed Ironman Canada in 13+ hours despite taking 30 min to change a flat tire.

Stephen provides appropriate treatments to address the foot problems that individuals are experiencing. If a presenting foot problem is beyond his scope of practice, he will not try a treatment to see if it works but will inform the patient to see another specialist who may provide effective treatment(s).

Stephen keeps up to date with new treatments and modalities by attending podiatry seminars and conferences and completing professional development courses every year. Stephen is registered as a chiropodist with the College of Chiropodists of Ontario.
